One of my friends is working in a central government department. Her mother, who is about 75 years old, is living with her and suffering from various age-related ailments. Since her husband works abroad and she has to take care of her mother alone, she would like to be transferred to her native state to seek support from her relatives. She has only two sisters, both married and residing far from their parental home. Neither sister is financially well-settled, and their father has already passed away. Another contributing factor is that she herself underwent major surgery years ago.

Central Government Policies and Procedures

The Central Government has its own rules, policies, and procedures. We cannot interfere with their policies and procedures as doing so may result in the termination of employment for the employee by the Government and may also prompt an inquiry that could potentially damage the individual's career.

It would be more beneficial and authentic for your friend to issue a letter from her own perspective rather than obtaining one from elsewhere. Therefore, I suggest that your friend either speak with her superior directly or draft a letter herself (as she is well aware of what needs to be addressed in the letter) to convey her concerns to higher authorities in order to request a transfer to her native place.
