How Do You Handle Reimbursements and Overtime Pay in a Small IT Company?

karthika_5387
Hi everybody, can anybody help me with information relating to reimbursements for employees at various levels and compensating employees for extra hours worked? I want this for an IT company with 30 employees across different departments such as development, support, admin, HR, sales, and marketing.

Details Needed on Reimbursements and Compensation

Please provide details on the actual amounts in Rupees for reimbursements and compensation, as well as guidance on how to calculate them. I am eagerly waiting for your valuable inputs.

It can be on a pro-rata basis of their average daily salary/wages or a fixed amount for various levels.

Overtime Payment Guidelines

There is a thread on overtime payment. Please search.

Understanding Overtime Rates

Overtime is usually double the rate of salary per hour of Gross salary (basic + flexi-pay/FBP or DA). Exclude bonus and benefits.

Regulations on Working Hours

Hours of work are usually governed by the Shops and Establishments Act of the state where your IT company exists.

Reimbursement Structure for Various Levels

Reimbursement for various levels depends on the flexible structure that your company has adopted for different bands. It can range from telephone reimbursements, Sodexo, LTA, business attire, car/fuel (depending on the CC of the car - Rs.1800 if the car CC is below 1600, Rs.2400 if the car CC is more than 1600), and driver (Rs. 900).

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Karthik
