Struggling with Low Salary in Bangalore: Is Switching Jobs After 1 Year a Good Move?

I am working in one of the top 3 MNCs in India as a Software Engineer in Bangalore, and I have around 2.5 years of experience. However, my CTC is too low (1.92 L). I have been with this company for the past year, but due to the low salary, I am unable to sustain myself in Bangalore because of the high cost of living. My take-home pay is only 12K per month.

Therefore, I am planning to change companies. Will it affect my career, resume, or future since it will be my second company within 2.5 years if I change now? I am truly struggling with such a low salary. 

Today, when companies are hiring, the first thing recruiters notice is the number of years a candidate has worked in previous companies. Thus, due to stability concerns, many candidates get rejected. Changing two companies in a span of 2.5 years may hamper your growth, but this can be mitigated if you work in a new organization for a period longer than six years.

Beyond Remuneration: Skills and Ability

Your evidence regarding the remuneration is justified, but I believe that you should also have the skills and ability to move further. It's not only the remuneration that plays an important role in your career.

1. Reconsider your decision and try to build your expertise in the field of HR rather than switching over for a better package.

2. If you increase your knowledge and expertise, you can automatically secure a good job with better remuneration.
