Following defects may be found during detailed inspection:
1. Corrosion inside
2. Reduction in shell thickness
3. Welding joints cracks
4. Welding joints leakage
5. Safety valve non-functioning
6. Auto drain not working
7. Pressure gauge indication not proper

Dear SSM,
The visual Defects of unfired pressure vessel can be ...
1. Rusting of the plate used
2. Quality of weld Joint
3. If marked you can see when it was tested last.
4. Functioning of Drain valve
5. Functioning of drain valve
After these visual checks you can decide the next line of action.
