Please help me with the list of possible defects that may be encountered during the visual inspection of unfired pressure vessels. Thanks in advance. Happy New Year wishes to all of you.

Dear SSM,
Following defects may be found during a detailed inspection:

1. Corrosion inside
2. Reduction in shell thickness
3. Welding joint cracks
4. Welding joint leakage
5. Safety valve non-functioning
6. Auto drain not working
7. Pressure gauge indication not proper

Dear SSM,
The visual defects of an unfired pressure vessel can be:

1. Rusting of the plate used.
2. Quality of the weld joint.
3. If marked, you can see when it was last tested.
4. Functioning of the drain valve.
5. Functioning of the drain valve.

After these visual checks, you can decide the next line of action.
