Understanding Form 27 Under the Factories Act of 1948

Form 27 is an annual return under the Factories Act of 1948. If your organization is registered under the Factories Act, then you need to submit Form 27. This form contains yearly manpower data.

First, examine which State/Central Factory Rules are applicable in your case and then go through those applicable Rules to find out the format No. for sending it to the concerning Chief Inspector of Factories. Submitting this annual return is a statutory compliance, and noncompliance may lead to prosecution.
