I am attaching the draft of the notification issued by the Government of Maharashtra inviting comments from the public for your information. It is proposed to cover employment in domestic work under the Minimum Wages Act as well. The final notification will be issued after considering comments from the public.

Maharashtra Domestic Workers Welfare Board Act 2008

Dear Agrawal ji, Dear All Members,

Incidentally, today I happened to see this thread. In this regard, I wish to draw the attention of all of you to the fact that the Government of Maharashtra (GOM) has also come out with a new enactment, namely the Maharashtra Domestic Workers Welfare Board Act 2008. The Notification of Rules 2010 under this enactment has also been published in the Gazette of GOM dated 23.08.2010. I am attaching a PDF of the said enactment of 2008 and the Rules of 2010 thereunder for the information of all the members.

I have not found any posts on this Act and its associated Rules. Therefore, I thought of keeping you informed about this past development.
