Can an Employee Use All Their Annual Casual Leaves in One Month? Seeking Advice from HR Seniors

Hello Respected HR seniors, A warm greeting to all of you...

Query on Casual Leave (CL) and Sick Leave (SL) Policy

I want to know how many CL or SL can be taken by one employee in one month. I am facing a problem in my organization; one of our senior employees is going on leave but wants all these leaves to be adjusted in his CL because he had not taken these leaves in the previous 11 months. Our organization gives 7 CL or SL for one year.

To my knowledge, one should take a maximum of 2 CL in one month. Seniors, please correct me if I am wrong and advise me on what should be the right thing to do in this situation.

Thanks & Regards,

Leave Policy Clarification

Regarding your query, leaves cannot be clubbed. If an employee is unable to avail CL in a calendar year, it will automatically lapse by the end of the year. Only PL and SL can be carried forward. CL can be permitted for up to a period of 2 days only. If an employee is sick for more than 2 days, they must submit a medical certificate for sickness.

If I take CL on Thursday and I am not well on Friday, what leave will be considered? Will both be CL, or both be SL, or can CL and SL be combined?
