This is a good discussion point raised by our friend. Nowadays, most companies have forklift trucks for material handling. Attached are files for your consideration, and it is now a must to have RTO registration for forklift trucks used elsewhere in the company or outside. Please give your comments. We insist on an LMV license for the same.

Dear Inder, really good sharing, mate. All vehicles should be registered as per our law. An LMV license is enough to operate forklifts. In our company, we provide separate training and conduct a written exam for all operators. We will provide a separate license to them internally; it's our company policy. Note: Due to my company policy, I can't share that presentation. Very sorry!!!

Thank you for a very informative subject. We insist on an LMV license for driving purposes. We have our own internally trained team from our parent company who conducts tests on various levels and then certifies the person. Once they certify, we then consider the person for the job. However, if someone could suggest what type of driving license is required, we could also consider the same.

Any person who is working as a paid driver (a person employed for driving, as opposed to a person employed for other tasks but driving a company vehicle to get work) is required to have a Transport License. Therefore, the person must have an LMV-TR License, not an LMV license. Technically speaking, since the person is only driving the vehicle within the factory premises, a license may not be necessary under the Motor Vehicles Act. However, it is a good idea to ensure that the person has a valid license.
