Hi,

Please let me know how an individual can check his/her PF status online. Is there a system or website for this? If so, please update me.

Not possible online. Please visit the PF office. If possible, be ready to pay some money for the enquiry.

Ok then, please let me know if there is any cap of 6 months to withdraw PF amount. One of my friends quits his job in 6 months, and now he wants to withdraw his amount. What are the best options available?

Amitmhrm
Hi Kapil,

One may claim for PF withdrawal only after 60 days of their resignation or separation from the organization by filling out Form 10C and 19, the PF withdrawal forms.

Amit Seth.

Hi,

Sorry, boss! But still, there is no established system in India where one can check their PF status. Also, any person can withdraw their PF anytime. For example, if an employee has completed six months of service, they can easily withdraw their PF. Even if an employee has worked for 1, 2, 3, or 15 months, they can withdraw the PF after leaving the company. Typically, a two-month basic period is provided to the employee by the company to withdraw their PF.

Ankit

To withdraw PF amount, he should follow the following steps:

1. Form 19 & 10-C duly filled and signed.
2. He must wait for 2+1 months from the date of resignation; otherwise, he can opt for the transfer of accounts to his present employer.
3. If he attains superannuation, he can go for immediate settlement without waiting for two months with the help of the employer.
4. If he is entitled to pension benefits, he has to fill Form 10-D instead of Form 10-C.

Hi,

There is no such option available as of today. However, PF authorities have provided a list of unclaimed PF amounts on their website (www.epfindia.com).

Withdrawal forms can only be submitted after 60 days of your resignation/termination. Employees are entitled to PF for one day, but if you leave within six months of joining, you lose a certain percentage of your due refund amount, and there is no need to fill form 10 C (pension claim) as well.

Thank you,

Hi,

Please visit the website [www.epfindia.nic.in](http://www.epfindia.nic.in) and follow these steps to check your claim status:

- Go to "Know your Claim Status"
- Select your State
- Select the Office
- Enter the Company Establishment Code
- Leave the Extension Code blank
- Enter your Employee No. (The Employee No. is the last 4 digits of your PF Number. For example, if your PF Number is KN/46294/1045, the last 4 digits would be 1045)

Hi Friends,

PF withdrawal is possible 2 months after the date of leaving, as per PF Office rules. In case of service for 180 days (6 months) or less, only the PF Fine Register fund can be withdrawn (15.67%), and the rest of 8.33% (pension fund) cannot be claimed. Even at the PF Reception Gate, Form 10-C is not accepted in such cases.

First of all, please check if you have the PF number handy.

PF forms need to be submitted at the regional PF office. You can provide details of the account number where you think the money should be transferred. Make sure you have held that account for a long time.

If your company doesn't submit the form, you can do it yourself after getting it signed by the company's HR or payroll team.

You will automatically receive the money in your account within 3 months.

The status of claims is not updated on this site. You have to approach the PF office personally for the same.

Hi,

To address your concern, please visit epfindia.com. There, you can search for the contact information of the Public Relations Officers (PROs) specific to the town or area where your Provident Fund (PF) has been deposited. Reach out to the PRO by phone, providing them with your PF number. They should be able to assist you accordingly. I have personally utilized this approach multiple times for our employees, and the PROs have proven to be very helpful.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hi Sweety Singh,

I was not able to find the link for unclaimed PF from the link you have suggested. Could you please help me by posting the complete link? I tried the "withdrawal status" link, and it did not provide any useful information for my case. It says "Referred to other region." This does not give me any idea about the status of my application and whether or when I will receive it.

Thanks

Hi, After submitting the PF withdrawal forms (19 & 10C) after 60 days of the last working day in the previous organization to the PF department, the PF department will take a minimum of 30 days to settle the account. Make sure that the bank account number and bank details are mentioned correctly in the withdrawal forms.

Once 30 days are over, you can go to the nearest PF office to check the status. All the PF offices have online systems at the office, and you need to choose the withdrawal option in the system and then enter your PF number; it will display the status.

Dear All,

Even though it is not the correct answer, somehow it is good news for all of us to know. The Central Government is implementing PF withdrawal through online settlement. Hope this goes without any problems. Have a look:-

New Delhi, March 3 (PTI) - The government today said the modernization project for online settlement of provident fund claims would be implemented by the next financial year in all EPFO offices. The project will be implemented in 27 offices of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) by the end of this financial year and in the remaining 92 offices by the 2010-11 financial year, Minister of State for Labour and Employment Harish Rawat said.

In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, he said the project is being implemented in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre. The implementation of the project was approved by the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO in its 182nd meeting.

Rawat said the implementation of the project is being reviewed from time to time and the initial scope of the project has since increased due to user requirements. As of March 31, 2009, the total deposits in the employees' provident fund and inoperative accounts under EPF stand at Rs. 122629 crore and Rs. 5892 crore respectively.
