How Do You Calculate Employee Turnover? Insights from My HR Experience

adityauto
Dear All, I hope my attachment will help you in calculating Employee Turnover. The figures are inserted manually after a deep study of various micro factors involved in it. The Microsoft Word file with the name "Calculation of Employee Turnover" will brief you on how the factors are calculated and the final values are inserted in the Excel Sheet. I have prepared it based on my own experience as I have been working as an HR Manager in an organization for the past 2 years.

Please go through it, and your feedback and comments are most welcome as they will help update my knowledge.

Regards,
Amrita Virdi.

Question Regarding Estimated Revenue Lost by Vacant Position

I just have a question regarding the Estimated Revenue Lost by Vacant Position ($225,000) in the Excel sheet. Shouldn't it be included in the total costs per single employee? So that the sum must be: Total Direct Costs to Hire ($5,000) + Total Indirect Costs to Hire ($44) + Total Direct Costs to Train ($8,000) + Total Indirect Costs to Train ($24,000) + Estimated Revenue Lost by Vacant Position ($225,000) = $262,044.

Please advise on the role of Estimated Revenue Lost by Vacant Position ($225,000) in the calculation. I need your experience, and thank you in advance.

Best Regards
