Dear all,
I wanted to know what are the rules for PF deductions.
My employer is deducting 24% of my basic salary in name of PF saying 12% is employees and 12% employers contribution. but if that is so then i should be contributing 12% of my basic salary and the employer should contribute 12% from his pocket. what is the rule for private sectors? i work in a hospital.
Please help me. This is happening to all employees.
anticipating an early reply.
Regards,
Sneha

Dear Sneha
What is the Terms and condition you have signed while joining your company?
If the salary fixed available in the terms & conditions is as CTC, then the company can deduct both from the CTC. But if the CTC is not mentioned then deducting the Employer PF from your gross salary is against the Law.
Before jumping into some conclusion please get clarified from your Offer of employment issued by your employer.
All the best.
