Hi, I have completed my BSc in Chemistry, Biology, and Zoology and currently work in consultancy. Can I apply for the SAP HR certification course? Additionally, I would like to know about good institutes in Bangalore that offer certification or courses in SAP HR.

Yes, of course, I have completed my B.Tech and Master's in Chemistry and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. I am also interested in the HR/Compliance/Social auditing field. It is a very interesting field, and I think you should consider trying it out. I have worked on some very good projects in ERP/SAP for HR, and I believe the future lies in this area.

SAP HR/ERP/PeopleSoft are good fields with a lot of scope. Technology plays a key role in business, and HR departments are increasingly undergoing automation in most organizations. Having hands-on experience with SAP/ERP provides an edge over others, but it is important to get certification from a reputable organization. Be cautious, as there are many fake institutes out there.

Eligibility for Learning SAP HR

There is no specific eligibility for learning SAP HR. Obviously, one needs to have some knowledge and a liking for the subject they want to learn. SAP training institutes are purely commercially run organizations, and they offer training to anybody who will pay their hefty fees.

The point here is, will you be able to understand and implement HR concepts and ideas without formally learning them or without having any experience of them? Your aim would be to seek a relevant job after completing SAP HR training by paying hefty fees. Mind you, you will be competing with all those who have completed two years of full-time post-graduation in HR and/or those who also have years of working experience in the HR field. The choice is yours.

Hi, I have done BSc (Chemistry, Biology, Zoology) and am working in consultancy. Can I apply for the SAP HR certification course? Also, I want to know the good institutes in Bangalore that provide certification/courses in SAP HR.

I have completed my MBA in HR. Is an SAP course necessary for me or not? Can you provide me with some information about this course and its benefits for employees?

Thanks,

I have worked for 2 years in Australian SAP HR. Based on that experience, I secured a position in Indian Payroll SAP at a reputed company and am receiving good pay. I believe one does not necessarily need to obtain certification, but if you have the opportunity to work on SAP, it's beneficial to learn as much as you can. SAP is consistent worldwide; only the components vary according to different countries' payroll requirements.

SAP Course: An Additional Knowledge Asset

SAP Course is not at all a necessity. It is only an addition to your knowledge. To get an exact idea about the SAP Course, just contact any of the numerous SAP Training Institutes in your city. They are too willing to give all kinds of information to sell their course.

Please understand that SAP knowledge can be put to direct use only where SAP is being used or being implemented.

Job Prospects After Completing the SAP Course

Regarding job prospects after completing the SAP Course: I feel freshers and people with less than 2 years of experience will not have any advantage in the job market. Any employer will always prefer someone with good practical experience in HR coupled with SAP knowledge.

My suggestion: Only those with 2+ years of practical HR experience should think of doing the SAP Course.

Fees for the SAP Course are very high. Please think about ROI (return on investment) even if your daddy is paying your fees.

Hi Nidhi, Rachna here. I wanted to pursue a career in SAP-HR but couldn't afford an MBA course. SLA Consultants provided me with both theoretical and practical training in SAP-HR, and now I am working as an HR Executive with a reputed company, even without an MBA. Thank you, SLA, you have made my life easier. I would suggest you first visit http://www.slaconsultantsindia.com/ to gain full knowledge about certifications/courses in SAP HR.

Regards, Rachna
