Stuck Abroad Without Pay: How Can I Get My Salary and Relieving Letter from My Employer?

Seeking Advice on Salary and Dues Settlement

I am an employee of an Indian company currently on deputation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. My company doesn't have any office or branches in KSA. I resigned from my job three months ago. According to my contract, I have to serve a 3-month notice period, which is set to expire by August 31, 2011. As per the contract, they are obligated to provide a flight ticket back to India for me. I have attempted to contact them (via phone and email) several times but have not received any response from the company. Additionally, I have not received my salary for the month of July 2011 up to now. It appears that they are simply ignoring my emails and phone calls. I am unsure if they intend to pay my salary for August 2011 and the retention amount that they deduct from our salary monthly.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could suggest a way for me to obtain my salary, retention amount, and a relieving letter. What actions can I take against the employer if they fail to settle my dues?

Thanks in Advance,

Samir

Normally, employers don't provide flight tickets for resigned employees. However, the salaries shall be payable and may be paid during the Full and Final (FnF) settlement.

I think you should consult a lawyer who can guide you legally against the company.
