Dear Muki
What happened to your factory Safety Team?
Why no one has noticed such lapse in the factory premises?
As explained by Mr. Dipil, the Safety precaution instructions will vary from machine to machine, place to place, whether in ground level or in height, in day light or in night flood light, wearing loose fitting cloths, like that so many criterias are available to analyse the risk assessment. For ascertaining the risk assessment, your complete EHS Team has to work in full swing and analyse the above all criteria so that all the safety measures can be adopted while working on the machinaries.
As per your contention, the unskilled are operating the machinaries is not acceptable. They must be given adequate training to operate the machines and the names of the operators must be displayed. (In the Card Machine Name and Operators Name and their shift must be displayed so that anyone can monitor that unauthorised person will not operate the machinaries - It will be best to do because the proper utilisation as well as maintenance also will be ensured)
If there is no Safety Team in your work place you can deploy third party agency to do risk assessment and further develop the safety instructions for each and every machines as explained by diehardcanonuser.
Please implement this in your production area and display the safety precaution instruction and nomenclature of machine and its operator details in all the machines available in your factory in English, Hindi and the Local Language, and this postive act will fetch you good result in controling the accidents as well as reputation to your factory and your interest, involvement and initiativeness will surely be appreciated by all the seniors available in your estimeed organisation.
All the best.
