EPF & ESI Applicable On Probation Period Of Employee????

As a Private Limited Co. I give an appointment letter to new joined employee with condition of probation period for 3 months and after complete his/her probation period he/she will be appointed permanant.
Then EPF & ESI applicable from his/her first day of probation period or after apointed permanant ?

You have to deduct the ESI and PF Contribution from the date of Joining

1. On probation or
2. as permanent.
