Hi! I have applied for a new job and have submitted the form for the transfer of PF to my new company. My question is, how do I get confirmation whether the PF money has been transferred to my new PF account?

Yes, if you submitted Form 13 in July 2011, you should submit another application to inquire about the status after at least 7 months. This is because the transfer process may take 3-4 months, but sometimes it can take up to a year or more. Therefore, the optimal time to check would be after 7 months. You may address this to the "Regional PF Commissioner."

Don't worry, now PF status is available online. You just have to enter your PF number and region on the EPFO site to check your PF status.

I would suggest that instead of opening a new PF account, you please get your existing account transferred to the present firm and continue it. It depends on the previous EPFO and the present EPFO offices how much time it takes for the transfer. If it is in the same region, only the code number of the employer firm would change, and you would be allowed to continue the existing account with the new employer. This would give you the benefits of continuity of membership which affect your pension fund.

You have one more option to know your PF transfer. You can check your gross balance amount on the annual PF slip generated by the PF organization.
