Hi!

I have applied for a new job and have submitted the form for the transfer of PF to my new company. My question is, how do I get confirmation whether the PF money has been transferred to my new PF account?

Hi Rashmi,

I think you would need to submit an application for acknowledgment or under the provision of the right to information, and also attach the recently inwarded copy. This process can be completed after 7 months.

Dear Hardik,

Please correct me if I am understanding you wrong.

"You mean to say that I have to make an inward application after 7 months of submitting the form in order to check the status of my transfer. But whom shall I address it to?"

Yes, if you have inwarded Form 13 in the month of July 2011, then you should submit another application to inquire about the status after at least 7 months. This is because it may take 3-4 months for the transfer process, but sometimes it can take up to a year or more. Therefore, the optimal time to check would be after 7 months. You may address this to the "Regional PF Commissioner."

Don’t worry, now PF status is coming online, you just have to put your PF number and region you will get PF status online at EPFO site.

The EPFO Site is working only for few regions like Delhi, Bangalore etc. But it is not yet implemented at a full stretch.

Dear Rashmi Ji,

I would suggest that instead of opening a new PF account, you please get your existing account transferred to the present firm and continue it. It depends on the previous EPFO and the present EPFO offices how much time it takes for the transfer. If it is in the same region, only the code number of the employer firm would change, and you would be allowed to continue the existing account with the new employer. This would give you the benefits of continuity of membership which affect your pension fund.

Thanks and regards,

You have one more option to know your P.F transfer that You can check your (gross) balance amount at the present annual P.F slip, which generated by the P.F organisation. TTR
