Transitioning to HR: Will My Role as a System Analyst with Payroll Duties Help?

ganeshjob.hr@gmail.com
Hi, currently, I am working in a company, and they have appointed me as a system analyst and given me payroll/salary responsibilities. I have completed my MPM and am looking to pursue a career in the HR field. Will this position provide me with exposure to an HR career? I am eager to establish a career in HR. Please reply.

According to my point of view, working in your current role will help you in the future within the HR field. You know, administration is also a part of HR, and payroll is a part of HR as well. However, you should consider exploring recruitment, selection, and performance appraisal, among other areas. These are integral parts of HR.

Thanks for the reply. I have completed my M.P.M. During the interview with the HR manager, I requested to be appointed as an HR trainee, but they denied and offered me the position of a system analyst. We have HR payroll software, so that might be why they made that offer. I am confused about whether changing jobs will be beneficial for me.
