Work

In the office, I shift my attention to something less stressful, get a cup of coffee, pass by one of my friendly colleagues for a chat, and listen to music while working. This keeps me motivated even after working hours. I feel like contributing more or checking my personal email.

Home

I stay in my room, watch TV, listen to music, cook a meal, surf the web, and read materials related to my profession.

A lot has been said and preached regarding stress and how to overcome it. The solution lies within your inner self. Rise above the petty worldly worries and get in unison with your inner consciousness! Whoa! Some deep thoughts! I say, just relax, enjoy, watch some Rajnikant movie, the ultimate stress buster!

Also, find attached some stress reliever techniques. See if it's helpful!

The things others have mentioned are 100% true, as I have experienced them all. A peaceful mind completely depends on your mindset. Diversion from the normal timetable will be the ultimate solution. Try to take interest in new but useful things for your career and life. If you do not have enough time, try to see one or two motivational quotes per day, analyze them clearly, and try to take them to heart. If you are able to read some motivational texts, like short life stories of famous people such as the one I have attached with this (Abraham Lincoln), you are sure to find relief from stress. Wishing you a peaceful life.

Nethaji.

Yes, it does help, but it seems the stress level is more than what these quotes and the story of Abraham Lincoln portray. I will also try to adapt other different methods and hope to live life with less stress. Thanks.

I understand life is very stressful, but it's not a sudden occurrence or unfortunate things happening to you or many others. Stress is part of life, a way of life, and if I can say, the essence of life. We can identify the root cause of stress, which is actually the problem, solve it, and then move or graduate to other stress = problem. So, life is about moving from one stress to another; the way you move will determine the quality of your life.

However, certain suggestions do work in reducing stress, but there is no magic potion to remove stress completely from our lives. My suggestions are:

To Each Its Own
Every single capable adult is responsible for his/her life, so don't take stress or tension for people around you, be it your parents, siblings, friends, or even adult kids.

Spend Less, Earn More
Keep control of your spending habits, spend only on absolutely necessary items, don't fall into the rat race of fashion, show-off, and comparisons. Maintain a humble level of austerity.

Keep the End in Mind
Finish the task before it becomes a deadline, avoid distractions.

Be Assertive
Choosing yes or no to anything is your right, not a privilege or obligation.

Believe in Destiny
Whatever happens, happens for a good reason, it's exactly destined to happen, and you or others are just playing by the script of life.

Do Charity
Give, give, and give. Food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, clothes to the naked, solace to tears, company to the lonely, knowledge to the ignorant, appreciation to the forgotten, laugh to the frowned.

There is no best recipe for a perfect life. Live the moment, live it now!!

Happy Living!!

Monica, thanks a lot. Please note I am in Hong Kong and hardly get time to move around. My life is not as easy as many may think. Anyway, thanks a lot. Nicky.
