How Many Paid Leaves Are Legally Required? Seeking Advice on Updating Our Policy

Hi friends, in my company, we provide a total of 18 leaves in a year, i.e., 6 CL, 6 PL, and 6 SL. However, the management wants to reduce the paid leave structure. Therefore, we are looking to update the leave structure in our organization.

Minimum Leave Requirements

Is there any rule or act that specifies the minimum number of leaves to be provided? To what extent can we reduce leaves in our organization? Can we make a rule that all leaves will be unpaid?

Please refer to the Gujarat State Shop & Establishments Act for leave rules as your company may be covered under it. The Companies Act does not specify leave rules.
