Understanding E-Waste Rules 2011: What Manufacturers and Dealers Need to Know

E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules 2011

I am attaching a copy of the E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules 2011 notified by the Government on 12.5.2011, which will be applicable with effect from 1.5.2012. It will mainly apply to manufacturers and dealers of electrical/electronic components as specified in Schedule-I.

As per Rule 2 of the said rules, the rules are applicable also to consumers and bulk consumers.

I would be really grateful if you could assist me in understanding the required documents to be enclosed while filing the E-Waste Return in Form 3 as per the E-Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2011. The relevant law is silent on this matter. Additionally, the recycler issued us Form 13 as per Rule 21(1) of the Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2008.

Could you please confirm if this is a valid document?
