Is Salary Advance an HR Issue?

Please tell me whether a salary advance is an HR issue. According to me, HR should act as a mediator between employees and management and advocate the issue. However, I have just joined a new organization where my senior speaks very rudely to employees whenever any employee calls for a salary advance, stating that it is a Finance/Accounts issue.

Overall, it may be a finance issue, but HR can guide you with the procedure for obtaining your salary in advance. Therefore, the staff at your new organization may be hard to please, although this is a common scenario in any organization. Hence, you should ask HR to assist you with the same.

In my experience, the finance people are not cooperative towards fellow colleagues, and they seem to be living in their own world. HR should play the coordination role to help the employees.
