Understanding the Difference Between Wage and Salary: Can You Help Clarify?

tatimatla.Nag
Hi Nag, could you please suggest to me what the difference is between a wage and a salary? Thank you.

As per my knowledge, wages and salaries are often considered the same, i.e., compensation or emoluments payable in currency. However, there is a slight difference between the two. Wages are payments made on an hourly or daily basis, whereas salary is a compensation given once a month or calculated annually and then divided on a monthly basis. Salary is paid regardless of hours worked, whereas with wages, the hours of work are carefully taken into consideration.

Thank you.

Understanding the Difference Between Wages and Salary

The meaning is the same for both terms. Normally, wages are for an hourly or daily basis, whereas salary is for a monthly or yearly basis.
