As per my knowledge, wages and salaries are often considered the same, i.e., compensation or emoluments payable in currency. However, there is a slight difference between the two. Wages are payments made on an hourly or daily basis, whereas salary is a compensation given once a month or calculated annually and then divided on a monthly basis. Salary is paid regardless of hours worked, whereas with wages, the hours of work are carefully taken into consideration.
