Considering a Masters in HR from the UK? Seeking Advice on Universities and Job Prospects for Indian Graduates

amitsinha08
I am an MBA graduate and have over 5 years of industry experience. My experience is primarily in the textile industry as a Generalist HR. I am planning to pursue a Master's in Human Resources from a UK university with an intake in February 2012. I seek advice on universities that specialize in Human Resource programs. Additionally, I would like to understand the importance of obtaining a CIPD qualification in the UK.

I am also interested in knowing the job prospects for an Indian individual in the UK after completing a Master's, with or without CIPD certification.

Thank you,

Amit

Hello Seniors, can anyone tell me where I can get CIPD qualifications/certificates in India? Are there any institutes in Bangalore/Delhi/Mumbai offering CIPD qualifications/certificates? Thanks in advance.

Anil

I would advise people not to come to the UK seeking HR jobs. MA (HRM) does not require any experience, unlike when applying for an MBA course. If https://www.citehr.com/105483-hr-uk.html is an indication, then foreigners face a problem getting HR jobs. Companies prefer UK-born people for obvious cultural reasons. It's not a matter of color discrimination. Where I worked, the HR Department Manager was Caribbean, and there were Muslim staff, too (all born in the country).

Have a nice day.

Simhan
