Are Employees Entitled to Paid Leaves During Probation? Plus, How to Calculate Leave Encashment?

We are a BPO company and would like to know if an employee is eligible for paid leaves during the probation period.

Leave Encashment and Loss of Pay Calculations

Leave encashments are to be calculated on the basic salary only. However, please note that Loss of Pay (LOP) is calculated on the gross salary.

They should provide a fixed amount of days, for example, 20 days, throughout the probation period. There should be a minimum duration to prevent them from taking advantage of the paid leaves, but in emergencies, they can utilize them effectively. Trainees also have natural emergencies.
