Notification from the Additional Commissioner of the Provident Fund

Enclosed herewith is a notification from the Additional Commissioner of the Provident Fund (P.F) stating that it is not necessary to submit the P.F. code while bidding in public sector undertakings and public sector enterprises. This is a significant development and is in the best interest of contractors.

Dear Mr. Shish, Thank you for informing all concerned about this important aspect. I am of the opinion that about 50% of code numbers are obtained by individuals who seek them solely for the purpose of securing contracts. However, after acquiring the code numbers, they fail to comply with the act, leading to numerous issues for everyone involved, including the inflated figures of EPFO showing defaulting establishments.

With due regard,

Can anybody help me with the process of obtaining a PF allotment number for a new organization in manufacturing or shop, etc.? I mean, what forms, fees, and approach are needed?

Regards,
VAR
