Tax Implications On Travel Claims And Food Allowance

nandinikekre
Hello,
I am with an IT company where the Technical Support staff is provided with a Shift allowance. They are also entitled for Travel Allowance @15/- per km and Food Allowance of 150/- for each day of working in shift other than General shift.
I would like to know the tax implications of the same and how to claim if these allowances are to be made non-taxable.
Looking forward to a reply from an expert.
regards
NK

The food allowances can be given as food coupons like Sodexho, Dominos- which are tax free or submit the food bill on daily bais as expenditure
for conveyance you have to submit the petrol bill or in form of Driver salary or Taxi bill as expenditure
if you are not providing these things then the allowances are taxable
