My company is also in the manufacturing of plastic (injection molding) equipment. The general practice regarding leave (where the Factory Act applies) is that for every 20 days present, 1 day of leave is allowed. It means if a worker has worked for 300 days in a year or is present for 300 days in a year, they are entitled to 15 days of leave with wages (300/20). In addition to this, the organization may grant leave under various categories such as casual or sick leave. There is also a provision for maternity leave where the Maternity Act applies.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Regards,
Prashant Borse
