Employee Takes Unapproved Leave: How Should I Handle This Situation in a BPO?

Hi Friends, what can we do if leave is not sanctioned to an employee, but he takes a leave? I am working for a BPO, and right now, I have this situation. What should I do?

Leave is not a matter of right for employees; it is a benefit for employees. Kindly convince your HOD by stating your reasons for needing to take leave. Hopefully, your HOD will understand.

Leave is not a right; it is a privilege given to an employee. If a person becomes absent without proper approval of leave, it is considered as absconding. You can issue a show cause notice, and if you do not receive any valuable and reasonable reply from the individual within the stipulated time period, you can further initiate administrative/disciplinary action against the employee as deemed fit.
