I feel that for employee motivation and recognition, we can have Certificates of Recognition like Best Employee, Best Performer, etc., along with mementos for the employees. These non-monetary rewards serve as a significant motivating factor for employees and stay with them for a lifetime.

You can have programs like Shabash or Puraskar to facilitate the employee who has done a good job. It will keep the employee morale and his prestige high, and I am sure everyone likes to be praised. It really works wonders.

I like the idea of giving awards, but you can also use designations as a way to keep them happy. Create interesting and important-sounding designations and add more levels so that people feel important and rewarded.
