Remittance Process of Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund for Multiple Branches Clarified

Hi,

We have branches throughout Tamil Nadu. Can we pay the Tamil Nadu Labour Welfare Fund contribution for all branches in Tamil Nadu in one consolidated amount at Chennai itself, or does it have to be paid at the respective locations like Salem, Madurai, Erode, etc.?

Dear ERV,

As far as my concern, you have to pay as per your labor license, and wherever you obtained the license, there only you have to pay the Labor Welfare fund.

I hope this issue has been resolved by now. We are providing this update for the benefit of other members to understand.

In Tamil Nadu, the remittance of LWF should be paid in Chennai alone, regardless of the branch location across Tamil Nadu. Therefore, if you have multiple branches throughout Tamil Nadu, you can make the LWF contributions in a single payment in Chennai by presenting the list of employees and their branch details.
