Facing Health Issues: Do I Still Need to Pay My Employment Bond If I Quit?

Hi All, I am working in a BPO in Delhi, and in February 2010, I went to the UK for on-the-job training for three months. Due to this training, I entered into a bond with my employer for two years, or I need to pay 2 lakhs (INR).

Currently, I am unwell, and my doctor has advised bed rest. I am on unpaid leave due to my health condition. Therefore, I am considering leaving my current job and returning to Kolkata.

Please advise if I would be required to pay the remaining amount of the bond, which is 1 lakh, or if the bond becomes null and void in case of medical incapability to work.
