Do IT Companies Pay Stipend To Summer Interns

I am doing a market study on IT companies paying stipend to freshers (for project work) any input from your side will be a value add.

Well, some companies do give stipend and some dont. the max i hav seen IT companies pay interns is Rs.5k. and this is the highest end companies. average/good companies pay 3.5k. but its impt that u ask them if they r willing to pay. at times, u dont get a stipend until u ask for it.

Well exactly I have to present how many IT companies are paying Stipend to freshers....as in my company it is not in practice...
One more point if its in policy then you pay stipend otherwise its cost to the compony...Any suggestion
