The excel sheet is static, i.e whatever input we feed no change in output. No calculation is possible with this excel sheet.

Hi Samuel,
As per Grauity we take no of years of service in round if 5.4 yrs we take as 5 years or if 5.7yrs we take his/her service as 6 yrs therefore this excel sheet will not help for calculate the Gratuity amount. It gives wrong calculation / more amount.

What if company rejects to pay gratuity to the employee who has left the company. He has been deducting is gratuity amount from his salary when he was working with company.
What he has to do to get his gratuity and what is the procedure?

Gratuity calculation will on Basic + DA as per Act, but few companies use to pay on Gross salary.

i am working with a private bank since February 2007.now i got another offer from a different bank and they agree the notice period of 3months.so i will be joining there on january2012.ie, i will complete 4years and 11 months..my question is ,Am i eligible for gratuity,and if my previous company is not ready to pay me the gratuity,what can i do for the same?..please help me in this regards
