Thank you for the attachments. Maybe the electrical safety book will be useful for me. The welding machine and the DG set will be moving from floor to floor in construction as per work requirements. If those are on the ground, we can use any of the earthing procedures suggested by you and Raghu. However, in this case, if the work is on the higher floors, the DG and welding machines will be carried on that particular floor where solid concrete will be present on the ground, and general earthing procedures will be difficult to provide. I am searching for an alternative.

Dear Firoz,

You can lay an earthing strip throughout the building, which is connected to an individual earth pit on the ground floor. Just provide a connection point from this particular earthing strip to each floor. You can simply connect the earth return cable of the welding machine or the body and neutral earthing of the DG to this particular strip.

I think this will be the best solution for your problem. Let me know your thoughts on this.
