Nice Article On Racism - British Airways

swapna5
This scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg, South Africa, and London.

A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man.

Very disturbed by this, she called the air hostess. "You obviously do not see it then?" she asked. "You placed me next to a black man. I did not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."

"Be calm, please," the hostess replied.

"Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available."

The hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later.

"Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in Economy Class. I spoke to the captain, and he informed me that there is also no seat in Business Class. All the same, we still have one place in First Class."

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued.

"It is not usual for our company to permit someone from Economy Class to sit in First Class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting."

The hostess turned to the black guy and said, "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in First Class."

At that moment, the other passengers, who'd been shocked by what they had just witnessed, stood up and applauded.

Great work! Really appreciated. This should be the lesson for the lady; she deserves such treatment.

Hi everybody,

Well, it has a great moral behind it. "Neither should we degrade anybody, nor should we ever try to show off ourselves or be proud of our status (wealth, community, race, etc)."

Good luck and keep posting.

With profound regards,

Hi Swapna,

Generally, incidents like these are coming from British Airways. We really have to thank the captain and that air hostess.

Great work, Swapna. It's a perfect answer, blunt in the face of racism and regionalism. I wish I could have been in the place of the Air Hostess at that time.

Hi,

It's really very interesting. Is it how people think in this way? Air hostesses are treated well. Tit for tat.

A good message to people: to follow this way, they should learn a lesson now. Good job, British Airways staff.

Dear Ms. Swapna,

A nice one. Thanks for posting such a nice piece. I would have been very happy if the British Airways authorities had asked that lady, if possible, to sit on a stool placed near the toilets.

Thanks and regards,

It is a shame for the world if such ugly things like racism still exist. This is so inhumane. It was commendable of the flight attendant and the captain to set a good example in front of so many people.

What a way of giving the return gift! Such things should be put in place. Which century are we living in?

Dear Swapna5,

Of course, it is a commendable act. Racism is against humanity and should be opposed by each and every person who is actually a part of society.

Thanks and regards,

A befitting lesson by an air hostess to the white woman. The aim of education and training should always be to develop purity of heart and character.

British Airways really did a great deed, and I truly appreciate how they managed the situation while also teaching a lesson to those with a superiority complex. I'm going to forward this to all my friends. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Pherwanikh,

I don't know about the truthfulness of the story, but we should really appreciate the story and the sharer of the story for giving a true lesson to people with racist attitudes. Additionally, I want to inform you that while you attempted to confirm the story with British Airways, it may not be true. However, this story should not be taken lightly or seen as a joke to be laughed at.
