Registration Under Shop & Establishment Act [Thread 297415]

Dear All members,
I am working in a company which has two parts.1. Manufacturing Industy 2. Agri Service Division. My self I am looking all hr work of our Agri Service Division. Our Division has 20 centres through out India including 15 in Gujarat and remaining in Out State. Many of centres are also located in towan or villages. Head Office of our Agri Service Division is also located in small village.
1. As my point of view we have to register all over centres individualy under shop & establishment Act. Pls. correct me my knowlege is correct or not?
2. If we have to register under S & E Act I don't now the name of office in village or towan for registration. Pls. suggest the office in village and town.
All are requested to guide me on my above points.

Dear Vijay,
You are right in saying that one has to register all the branches/establishments separately as Shops Act is a State Act. All branches have separate entity in the eyes of Shops Act. It might be possible that some of the areas may not fall within jurisdiction where shops act may not be declared as applicable.

You can go through the Govt. offices directory to have contact numbers of the local offices of the labour or registering authority of shops Act registration. You can also take the help of other nearby establishments to have the details on this subject.

I also request you to clear as under.
1. Can we contact "Gram Panchayat" in village? and "Nagar Palika" in town" for registration of our branches
2. Shop & Establish Act & "Gumastadhara Act are same?
