Factory Holidays Declaration Compliance Under Factories Act 1948

Hi all,

Please send the list of declared holidays for the year 2011 as per the Factories Act, 1948.

Dear Rahul,

If your establishment is covered under The Punjab Industrial Establishment (National & Festival Holidays and Casual & Sick Leave) Act, 1965 as applicable to the State of Haryana, then in accordance with Rule 3 of this Act, we are to determine five festival holidays with the consultation of the representative of the workers before 30th November each year for the ensuing calendar year. These holidays so determined shall be required to be delivered to the Inspector of the area by 31st December each year.

You need to submit the list of holidays for the next calendar year by 30 Nov to the Labour Inspector looking after your area.
