Handling Unauthorized Leave
As per your query above, firstly, you have to send him a warning letter for taking leave without permission. After that, you need to inform HR. As far as I know, you have to get approval from your branch manager and deduct salary; it should not be considered as leave.
Leave Allocation in Organizations
Many organizations allocate leave to employees as follows:
1. CL - 12 days - Employees can utilize this leave once a month.
2. SL - 12 days - If an employee takes leave for two days or more, a doctor's certificate is required. Employees can use this leave when they are ill. No doctor's certificate is needed for leaves of 1 or 1.5 days.
3. PL - 16 days - Employees need to give advance notice at least 30 days before or as per the management policy.
