Hi, I am working in a company. The job assigned to me is the leave management system, but I don't have any idea how it should work. Can you suggest something? I mean, how should I start? Thanks in advance.
Annual Leave, Half Day, Paternity Leave, Maternity Leave, On Duty, On Tour, LOP, Comp Off, Half Comp Off, Marriage Leave - these are the types of leaves we have.
I just want to know if an employee wants to apply for leave online, how many tables and forms are required? In which format should the data go to the email address of the approver? Basically, I need to understand the data flow of the LMS. I hope you understood.
All the very best for setting up the LMS at your organization. I have a point to share with you regarding Comp Off. In your leave type, you have mentioned half Comp Off. However, the Comp Off policy states that one can avail Comp Off only if he/she has worked on a holiday for a minimum of eight hours or the number of hours set by the company to avail the same. Hence, when employees avail Comp Off, they will have to take it for a full day. Giving half-day Comp Off is not a good practice and, in turn, will burden you in keeping track of it. You can also add Training to your list.

Understanding Business Requirements for Leave Management
First of all, it is very important to understand your business requirements. What is the current methodology you are following for your leave management, or are you developing a completely new policy? Also, what kind of scenario or model do you want to implement before deciding on the macro-level factors?
My manager just told me I have to work on the leave management system. No other details have been given, and there is no team leader who can help. Please help me.
