Manpower Calculation - Manufacturing Company

Dear All,
I am working for one of the fabrication Manufacturing company.
As been working I would like to know is their any calculation how the manpower limits are defined.
Eg. XYZ % of the Turnover
XYZ% of the material in Tonnage production held
Or may be any other calculation.
I would like to know this as to monitor the manpower utilization against the production and also to plan up the manpower according to the incoming projects.

Cross = n(n-1)
Where, n be the number of subordinates reporting to a supervisor.

Dear Chandan,
Thanks for your reply but to be frank i am not able to get the calculation.
In short can you please let me know If we have the production of 250 tons per month
on Man hours bases how many hours will be required.
