In what ways can the salary structure be changed so that an employee benefits from being exempted from tax? Could someone please provide information on the different components of salary that are exempt from tax and can form part of a salary structure?

Total CTC could be distributed into two components like Fixed and Variable. The Fixed component could be up to 40% of the total CTC, and the remaining 60% could be allocated to the Variable part under different heads of reimbursements such as petrol, telephone, cellphone, driver's salary, attire allowance, and entertainment allowance.
