Dear Nanshekhar and Manjunath, typos do occur in documents, especially with foreign names. This is all the more so when someone dictates the notes to another (communication gaps). However, teachers who have a sound knowledge of the topic can spot the mistake and should immediately flag the mistake to the authorities concerned.
We are lucky in this age that we have search engines such as Google, which usually give links to pages with similar sounding names, or we can search using different terms (for example, "Trait theories"). That's how I got the links given in my previous post.
As you both seem to be academics, you may benefit from reading a paper at
http://aera.net in which a reference is given to "How Professors develop as Teachers ...." by Peter Kugel. You can find that at
http://cs.bc.edu.
