Dear All,

Could you please provide me with the format of the increment letter? Should we be cautious about the legal aspects while drafting an increment letter? What legal repercussions could it entail?

Hi Hina,

I prefer Lavena's letter. The other two can be embarrassing and place your company in great difficulty if you have to discipline or dismiss the employee for any reason in the near future. Annual increments are meant to reward employees for the increase in their experience, not necessarily for good performance, though performance plays a part in determining the size of the increment.
