Understanding and Calculating Training Mandays in HR Practices

hirald
Dear All,

I would appreciate it if you could clear my doubt regarding the calculation of Training Mandays. Is there a standard formula, or does it vary from industry to industry? Please let me know the details as soon as possible.

Thank you.

There are variations from organization to organization. One can calculate Total Training Mandays and express it as a percentage of the Total Number of Employees at the beginning of the year. Alternatively, express it as a percentage of Total Employees Trained. The first approach appears more acceptable. Let us listen to others' views. This is a good topic/question for HR experts to debate.

Hello Hirald. If you mean participant days spent in training, simply multiply the number of days of training by the number of training participants. For example, if the training is for half a day and there are 50 participants: Man Days = 0.5 x 50 = 25 person days.
