Labour Welfare Fund Confusion: Should Management Cadre Also Contribute?

aparnaganesan
Dear Team,

Labour Welfare Fund: Does the employer have to deduct from the management cadre as well? Is the employee's share Rs.7 and the employer's Rs.14? Please clarify this doubt.

Thank you.

Labour welfare fund is to be deducted from all employees other than those who are specifically designated as supervisors/managers. The deduction for the labour welfare fund is Rs.7 per employee, with an additional Rs.14 as the employer's share, totaling Rs.21 to be paid to The Secretary, Tamilnadu Labour Welfare Board, Chennai 600006, on or before 31st January 2011. The deduction should be made from the employees in the December 2010 payroll.
