Is It Necessary for Employee Signatures on ID Cards? Seeking Clarification

sranjani
Dear All,

I am in the process of issuing new ID cards to our staff members. Is it mandatory to have the signature of each employee on the card? Could you kindly clarify the reason for needing the employee's signature on the ID card?

No, there is no rule and it is not mandatory. There is no need for the employee to sign the Employee ID card; instead, it should be signed by the HR personnel and the issuing authority (HR).

On the Employee ID Card, the signature of the employee is not required. Along with their name, Employee Number (Code), and photo, the blood group can be printed. It must be signed by the issuing authority (GM-Admin or GM-HR).

Hi,

I believe it's not required nowadays as every organization is maintaining biometric attendance or swiping, so it is not useful for the organization.

Hi all, It is not mandatory to have an employee's signature on the ID card. However, it is always a plus if the technology allows you to do this.
