In the implementation of benchmarking process, one important step is to analyze gaps between the benchmark and the actual state. Are the gaps explainable? If yes, what is the magnitude of these gaps? The benchmarking process was initiated and implemented by Xerox in India in the late 1980s.
I appreciate the work. It has opened up some unexplored areas of knowledge for me. Incidentally, I would like to have clarification on what those percentages in brackets in the slide 'types of benchmarking' indicate.
