Please send me the abstract of all Labour Acts like Payment of Gratuity, Payment of Wages, Payment of Bonus, Workmen Compensation, Maternity Benefit, Contract Labour. Please look into the matter urgently.

In my opinion we are required to display these abstracts of different labour laws as provided by the Rules of the applicable Acts & therefore first decide which of the State/Central Rules are applicable in your case then go through those Rules to have abstracts of the Act & Rules. If your company is covered under the The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 then you will be getting gratuity considering 10 years of service. Service must be continuous service as per the definition of this act.

dear sir, i am running a manuracturing unit from past 10 years and have 8 employees. I wanted to know that " Am I legible to pay gratuty to my workers and what is the minimum number of employees for the gratuty.

Dear Member,
Plz go through section 1(3) on applicability of the Act under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Section 1(3) may be read as under.
Section 1(3) It shall apply to—
(a) every factory, mine, oilfield, plantation, port and railway company;
(b) every shop or establishment within the meaning of any law for the time being in force in relation to shops and establishments in a State, in which ten or more persons are employed, or were employed, on any day of the preceding twelve months;
(c) such other establishments or class of establishments, in which ten or more employees are employed, or were employed, on any day of the preceding twelve months, as the Central Government may, by notification, specify in this behalf.
Now you see whether you are to pay gratuity or not?
